Not one, two or three, it was 108 weddings at the same time in one location. The event was blissful for those relishing the joy of divine union. It was an awe for those relishing the beauty of the deities and the magnificent stage. It was an opportunity for a seeker who wanted to know why God is getting married and who is God’s bride…

A:gama scriptures dictate that whenever God chooses to descend in a human body, one can conduct with Him like one would with a human being including getting Him married [as a divine service].

The bride(s) are chosen by the Elders, the devoted ve:dic scholars. The bride(s) must work through and for Him eternally to support the well-being of the entire existence and thus bring auspiciousness to every being. Essential qualities of such divine bride(s) are la:vanya (Bhu: De:vi – soft natured support of al life) and sowbha:gya (Sri: De:vi – all ‘wealth’). Hence, Sri: Devi and Bhu: Devi are the inseparable brides of God.

What am I in this divine union?

If you have ‘forgotten’ the eternal divine union with the Supreme and want it back, begin to relish the joy of the togetherness with the divine duo. The ‘forgetting’ happens because of ahanka:r (ego) and ajna:na (ignorance). The separator that is used in the weddings between the bride (any soul including yourself) and groom (God) represents his/her ego and ignorance blocking the person from ‘seeing’ God. While one may ‘understand’ God, it’s only the guru’s grace that unblocks the vision by transforming the heart to accept the realization.

With sheer compassion, Ramanujacharya shared the secrets of Vedic wisdom to everyone with absolutely no discrimination….

Dedicating Ramanujacharya (now appearing as the Statue of Equality) to the world, the divine union of the 108 divya desa (inspiration centres where chosen souls experienced Him, sang His glory and thus revealed the truths of existence) mu:rthis was celebrated in the presence of thousands of devotees and lakhs of online viewer devotees..
