Science of the Inner Sanctum of a Temple!

[et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ admin_label=”section” _builder_version=”3.22″][et_pb_row admin_label=”row” _builder_version=”3.25″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” _builder_version=”4.9.3″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″]

Imagine stepping in and walking closer and closer to the inner sanctum of an authentic temple, it gives a very peaceful, energising and pious feel, doesn’t it?

Imagine 108 such temples (Divya Desams, Centres of Inspiration), each one depicting rich history, vibrant form, and great qualities of the Lord sung by devotees – all at one place!

Here are some fascinating updates on the inner sanctum of the temples!

→ 108 Shrines will have the look of golden texture and the Sanctum will be based on stone work.

→ 70 of them have stone carving work in progress and 41 of them have progressed with inner sanctum work as well.

→ 5 Divya Desams have roof stone work of the inner sanctums in progress!
The roof stone work of an inner sanctum comprises of three sections:

  • Stones are cut and shaped in triangles.
  • The four corners are fixed with these triangular stones in the first round, it’s called ‘kona vattamu’.
  • Second round of setting these stones is called ‘chadura vattamu’, and fills the area between the corners.
  • Third round of setting these stones closes the top of the shrine, these stones are called ‘bramha silalu’

Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji witnessed the laying of the ‘bramha silalu’(third set of stones) for Thirukkovalur temple. HH offered His blessings for the place such that it serves the purpose of inspiring and educating people with the right path to live and liberate themselves from hardships. HH also respectfully greeted and honoured the architects and all the team involved in this exquisite, intricate and divine effort!

How fortunate are we to welcome 108 Centres of Inspiration in Bhagyanagaram (Hyderabad), Bharath (India)!

Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji never ever compromises on the right way to execute a task. HH always works towards preserving the authenticity of any structure that reflects history, including the temple of Tirumala! Under the able guidance of such great acharya, we will soon witness these 108 Divya Desams commemorating the millennium birth year of Ramanujacharya!

Swamiji’s First Review on Drawings of deities lasting 8 Hours – Packed to Perfection!

[et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ admin_label=”section” _builder_version=”3.22″][et_pb_row admin_label=”row” _builder_version=”3.25″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” _builder_version=”4.9.3″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″]

Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami is known to be a Perfectionist. His keen eye into details, his strength in re-establishing lost ideals and his warmth towards those in suffering is immeasurable!

As part of constructing the 108 Divya Desams around the Statue of Equality, Sri Swamiji spent 8 hours on the first review of the drawings of the Deities of the Divya Desams. These drawings were done by Sriman Prasad ji, Chief Architect and his team.

Ramanujacharya drew inspiration from the Deities of these Divya Desams! While the Lord exists as the root source of life in everyone and everything that exists, the Deity form supports one in actualising that fact.

Swamiji reviewed every single inch and each part of the Deity in the drawings, not compromising on any aspect. The review was based on three references:

✯ Images of Deities from the Divya Desams
✯ Scriptural descriptions of the Deities
✯ Historical facts, and the Local References on the Divya Desams

The Deities are highly captivating and extremely specific when it comes to the ornaments, the weapons, and the positioning – such as sayanam, asanam, prayoga chakram, yogam, peetam,

Swamiji himself is seen as a manifestation of both qualities of Lord: Compassion and Perfection. So, his time on any activity, even for a minute or two is considered extremely invigorating for many! This activity of 8 hour detailed examination on the drawings of one Deity in specific and a few more in general aspects has been a monumental milestone in the project!

Sri Krishna Desika Jeeyar Swami humbly reached JIVA asram to pay respects to Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami and have a darsan, a visit in honour, of the Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi site. Sri Krishna Desika Jeeyar Swami quite happily watched the great, Ramanuja statue and expressed his extreme reverence towards Swami for taking up such a noble mission. Swamiji invited Sri Krishna Desika Jeeyar Swami to advice on any findings during the making.

An update to all the supporters on the progress:

  • Four Divya Desa Temples work begins!
    • Sri Varada Raja Perumal Temple – Thiru kachchi
    • Sri Deepa Prakasa Perumal Temple – Thiruth thankaa
    • Sri Vaishnava Nambi Perumal Temple – Thiru-k-kurungudi
    • Sri Thiru Kuralappan Perumal Temple – Thiru van parisaaram
  • Stone required for the temples is being donated by Quarry owners from Guntur
  • Silpi work also begins!
  • Ramanuja Statue Thirunamam – Swamiji suggested that the Thirunamam be polished to give the right colour texture – Red and White instead of leaving it in the same texture as the rest of the statue
  • Swami met with the engineers to discuss on the Dynamic Fountain and the Statue on the fountain

While the project is shaping up with the support from everyone around the globe, there is still quite a lot that requires a helping hand. Be generous and support this great structure that will guide our future generations in morally rich and divinely fruitful path.

Don’t just watch, Do your bit – The Squirrel in Rama Katha!

‘ధనం ఉన్న వారు కాదు పెద్ద మనుషులు, పెద్ద మనసు ఉన్న వారు నిజమయిన పెద్ద మనుషులు’, said Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami.

On a mission to invite everyone and spread the word of Ramanujacharya, Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami went to Pedha Shahpur thanda near  the JIVA campus in Sri Ram Nagar. They heard from Swami about the 1048 Kunda Yagna as part of Ramanuja Sahasrabdi celebrations in the months of March and April 2018. This Yagna requires 1,60,000 Kgs of pure ghee. They announced their contribution of 30,000 rupees worth of pure ghee to be used in the Yagna. More than 100 youngsters happily and willingly registered to volunteer during those days in the asram for any kind of service. These people are all lambadis and primarily low income families. But, They are the ones with ‘Rich hearts’! Don’t you think so?

It is believed that a squirrel began to do its part in order to quickly build the bridge so that Sri Rama and Sitha Devi are back together. It was the love-filled thought behind the act which made the squirrel an inspiration for anyone who can do at least a small bit for a huge great endeavour such as this! An endeavour that is selfless and is aimed at enriching the lives of everyone who wants to achieve the prime purpose of life through Ramanujacharya’s teachings.

According to sastras, it is through Agni that we offer our thankfulness to the Lord for giving us every opportunity to live well, serve well and be the right instruments in the hands of the Lord. And thus, such Yagna will convey millions of people’s gratitude for giving us the Acharya, Ramanuja who has taught us the way to lead the current life while uncompromising on the essence of Vedic truths.

HH reaches Tirumala to convey ‘Statue of Equality’ updates and seeks blessings!

Bhagavad Ramanuja is respected as the Acharya of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala hills. His immense contributions to Tirumala temple are to be read and understood by every devotee of the Lord. Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami visited Tirumala Hills today to pay respects to Bhagavad Ramanuja and convey to him the status of ‘Statue of Equality’ coming up in JIVA, Sri Ram Nagar, Telengana. Bhagavad Ramanuja’s feet appear at the level of Lord’s feet in the Tirumala temple. Lord Venkateswara’s identity was established by Bhagavad Ramanuja as the holder of Conch and Discus as the form of Vishnu.

Swamiji pays his obeisance to Sri Venkateswara Swami and let him know of the work that is being done to preserve the teachings of Bhagavad Ramanuja as part of ‘Statue of Equality’ project!

Swamiji’s darsan of Sri Venkateswara Swami started exactly where it paused 12 years ago!

TTD EO received Swamiji as the procession of Lord in Garuda Seva began..!

Swami was offered to extract ‘gandham’ that was then applied to amma varu residing in the heart of Lord Sri Venkateswara!

Swami was welcomed into the main temple by the Jeeyars and the temple priests at 5:30am for Nijarupa darsanam!

Swami also was able to have the Nethra darsanam of Lord in the next one hour!

Swami was offered ‘gaja sesha mala’ as HE passed through the Bheti Anjaneya sannidhi!

It seemed like the Lord and Sri Swamiji were craving to see each other after 12 long years!

“We are really delighted by wonderful presentation made by the teams of JET USA and VT Seva coordinating a unique event like this – A Song on Equality” – Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.

“You did incredible job! Our heart was constantly moving by seeing and listening to the Raganjali songs” – Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.

JETUSA celebrated Sahasrabdi – A Song on Equality (Ramanuja‘s 1000th birth year with unique and prestigious event) in Dallas on Nov 19th, 2016. More than 3600 devotees and 1600 Registered Singers grooved to Sahasra Galarchana in the august presence of His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji, great humanitarian from Ramanuja Parampara.

Multiple organizations, music schools and dance schools joined hands with JETUSA in making the event a MESMERIZING and HISTORICAL one. The highlights –

– Raganjali – Sahasra Galarchana
– Sri Vishnu Sahasra Nama Avadhanam
– Ballet on Ramanuja
– Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji’s Shashti Spurthy Celebrations

Many organizations in and around Dallas joined together and have made “Sahasrabdi – A Song on Equality” event really joyful and divine. JET Dallas Coordinator Srimathi Sridevi accorded welcome to all the devotees by intoducing the program and inviting the acharyas and dignitaries for Deepa Prajwalana. His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji offered mangalasasanams to all the organizations for displaying the values to protect equality with Sangeetham (Music), Natyam (Dance) and Raganjali (Singing). Sri Swamiji said “Just like the way the value of Gold doesnt change whether we melt it or cut it, the values given by ancestors and gurus like Ramanuja Swami never diminishes. He gave us a beautiful value to follow – The Equality. Ramanuja opened temples to the lowest of the lowest, thousand years ago. He took revolutionary steps of sharing Mantram of Lord with everyone by appointing 74 simhasanadipathis. He broke the taboos by giving a call that all are equal before God.”
Sri Swamiji stated “There were many social reformers in the society. Typically, common men accept reforms but elite and scholarly of the society won’t accept them. There will be people who throw stones and create hurdles. Some others would have created walls with those stones to block the criticism. But Ramanuja used those stones to build a bridge to have good relationship. Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji narrated the life turning point incident from Ramanuja’s life about how Ramanuja’s heart was bleeding when he heard about incorrect commentary on “Kapyaasam Sruthi” from Chandogya upansihad by Yadava Prakasa and how Ramanuja gave the correct meaning. That was accepted grammatically and in essence, by scholars eventually making his guru Yadava Prakasa as his disciple with name of Govinda Jeeyar. Ramanuja believed and stated that God is like Ocean of compassion and all of us, no matter what race, religion, and caste we are born in are equal before God.” Sri Swamiji continued “We get things from God and forget him whereas God gives and forgives even if we don’t realize him. Realize the presence of God in everyone and serve all. God is everywhere and whole of the world is his divine body. The value of “Equality” given by Ramanuja was taken by many great social reformers of the world for past 1000 years. Both devotees and atheists adored Ramanuja equally. Devotees look up to Ramanuja as an embodiment of divine qualities whereas atheists look up to him as the manifestation of humanity. He spread the message of love. Share the pain and give the joy.”

He invited one and all to join the divine project “Statue of Equality” by stating that our scriptures instruct us to share and enjoy good things together. His Holiness mentioned that JETUSA and VT Seva are promoting the project for sharing the joy and appreciated the efforts of JET USA and VT Seva headed by Srimathi Aparna and Sriman Krishna Kanth respectively. Sri Swamiji stated that PRAJNA makes children act faster than super computers. His Holiness blessed all the teachers of PRAJNA and motivators Saradaji and Satyaji for making Sri Vishnu Sahasra avadhanam a great success.

“You did incredible job! Our heart was constantly moving by seeing and listening to the Raganjali songs” he stated that it is beginning for doing great activities. He continued talking about good things around the world appreciating India Prime Minister Modiji’s decisions to strengthen the country by taking measures to improve the security and making it corruption free. He stated that good people should work in unison quoting President Elect Mr. Trump’s good gesture to work with Mr. Modi. Oneness should be felt with relationship to God and let us all live like different parts of the body “Vasudhaika Kutumbakam” led by great gurus who showed the path of righteousness. HH offered mangalasasanams to HH Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji for guidance. We invite you all for the main event which is going to happen in 2017 on larger scale with minimum of “Laksha Galarchana.” He gave call to NRIs to book multiple flights to India and travel in the sky while singing glories of Ramanuja in the sky. Bless us with strength to face the hurdles such as umbrellas to face the rain.

JET USA President Srimathi Aparna thanked Sri Swamiji for blessing the fortune of hosting the event to Dallas. She mentioned that to put up a show of this magnitude, it took hours and hours of time and great efforts by many teams. She appreciated the volunteering work of Srimathi Deepika, Srimathi Sruthi, Srimathi Lakshmi and Sriman Yugandharacharya Swami in making Raganjali a huge success. She thanked Saradaji, Satyaji, SriGowriji, Yugandharacharya Swami, Yadagiri Swami and Pavan Swami for their efforts in making avdhanam a successful one. She also thanked Natyanjali Dance Academy (Dance Ballet by Yugandharacharya Swami and Srimathi Srilatha Suri), Nrutya Shakti Dance Group (Srimathi Vandita Parikh), Media Partners Yuva Radio, Fun Asia and Sound/ Lighting/Video by SoundORama production.

The program concluded with the most memorable and wonderful Shashti Spurthy Celebrations of His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji beginning with a video of 60 year incredible journey covering the important milestones spanning spiritual and social service activities. Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji conducted the celebration by introducing Sri Swamiji as “Vennela Chandrudu” to remove “amaavasya” darkness. Sri Swamiji glowed like bright moon on the Dias and devotees will cherish the moment forever. They sang and danced joyously to the live song sung by Sriman Yugandharacharya Swami. Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and Sriman Madhu Swami honored Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji with Vedic tradition of celebrating the Shashti Spurthy with “Pari vattam.”

His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji became speechless while talking about his acharya because he was captivated by the love of devotees just like Lord Krishna was tied by mother Yashoda. His Holiness attributed all the glory to His acharya Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji’s grace and stated that He always prays to be used as His acharya’s instrument in serving His Acharya’s vision as a humble servant. The program concluded with mangala harathi to His Holiness which all the devotees joined with love and happiness.
