HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji inspected Statue of Equality construction site accompanied by Mr. Rameshwar Rao. He interacted with site engineers and workers and enquired on progress and developments.

Currently, the team is working on the fabrication and 750 tons of steel has been bought. The structure began with 39 columns and fabrication has begun on 4-5 levels. Sand blasting, painting of primer, middle coat and final coat 39 colour scheme were done and second level has around 22 columns, above that 15 meters-22 meters installation is underway. The statue totals to 216 feet in height. Installation and erection of 22 columns has been completed and the remaining 19 columns will be completed around 15th February.

Heavy machinery has been employed to speed up the construction. Dedicated staff have been working round the clock. Swamiji’s visit to the site recharged the entire unit with multi-fold enthusiasm to welcome the upcoming moments of glory.

Work at site has begun. A 3 meter deep trench has been dug to lay the foundation for Bhadra Vedi on which the Divine Statue will be seated. Men and Machinery are working day and night to meet the deadlines. HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji inspected the site and gave instructions to the technical team. HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji  viewed the Ready Mix Concrete Plant erected adjacent to the main project site . This plant will be producing all the required concrete for the project.

The good news is that this RMC plant will be starting its trial batches in a week’s time after which the main production will begin.

Foundation Stone

Laid As you know, the foundation stone was laid on 2nd May 2014, on auspicious Akshayathrithiya day. Since then, different tasks have been taken to hand.

Just to refresh your memory – proposed height of pedestal is 96 ft, the statue of Acharya in sitting position is 108 ft high and Tridandam is 27 ft high totaling to 216 ft. The pedestal will have three levels with exhibits from Sri Ramanujacharya Swami’s life history showing inspiring incidents and philosophy.We have engaged Vasthu specialists along with architects, experienced engineers and started leveling the ground. Each and every aspect is meticulously planned to meet all requirements – various parameters are taken into consideration to ensure devotees have good time while visiting Sri Ramanujacharya Swamiji’s statue.
