On  May 21st2015 on the auspicious occasion of A:rudra Ra:ma:nujacharya Swamiji’s Nakshathra, a grand celebration was organized by Vanaparthy, Telangana. HH Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and Devana:tha Jeeyar Swamiji blessed the sho:bha ya:thra in the afternoon blessing all the devotees with Ra:ma:nuja:cha:rya darsanam. All the enthusiastic devotees sang Bhajans in honor of Ra:ma:nuja:cha:rya swamiji, performing Kola:tam and dancing for the pleasure of the revered a:cha:rya. In the evening HH Chinna Jeeyar Swa:mijiblessed the events by first visiting Sri Venkateswara temple established by Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji. Swamiji blessed all the devotees and paid obeisance to  Sva:dhya:ya Jna:na Yajnam where Pedda Jeeyar swamiji established the essence of Vedas in the 4 pillars. This sthupa is the 26th one among the 108 sthupas Pedda Jeeyar swamiji established.

After blessing the devotees in the temple, swamiji reached Polytechnic ground in Wanaparthy and inaugurated the program. The program started with organizers speech followed by program details iterated by Devanatha Swamiji. The program started by inspirational speeches by Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. HH reminded all present of Ramanuja’s most valuable gift to the entire world by providing the manthra to the masses without any discrimination. Also, for all the devotees to have gratitude towards such a great acharya in accordance with his gift provided to all the down trodden. The program continued with Ramanuja Aaradhana along with Live singing and dances performed by youth of the area. The program was concluded by volunteers thanking swamiji and providing prasadam to all present.

A miniature version of the Statue of Equality project was displayed in JIVA campus during the Thirunakshathra celebrations of HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.

Our JIVA Vedic Gurukulam students under the direction of two artists constructed the miniature version of Statue of Equality  in less than 6 days as a gift to HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji on the occasion of His birthday celebrations.  Devotees got a  glimpse of the project in real time and were awestruck seeing the model project. Everyone showed eagerness and enthusiasm to be part of this Destination Point project.

Foundation Stone

Laid As you know, the foundation stone was laid on 2nd May 2014, on auspicious Akshayathrithiya day. Since then, different tasks have been taken to hand.

Structure

We started the planning of structural details. Making of a 216ft high metallic statue weighing 300 to 400 metric tons is in discussion with companies which build such big metallic statues. Just to refresh your memory – proposed height of pedestal is 96 ft, the statue of Acharya in sitting position is 108 ft high and Tridandam is 27 ft high totaling to 216 ft. The pedestal will have three levels with exhibits from Sri Ramanujacharya Swami’s life history showing inspiring incidents and philosophy.We have engaged Vasthu specialists along with architects, experienced engineers and started leveling the ground. Each and every aspect is meticulously planned to meet all requirements – various parameters are taken into consideration to ensure devotees have good time while visiting Sri Ramanujacharya Swamiji’s statue. Just to list a few, thorough planning is being done on traffic control, parking, prasadam, toilets, shoe racks, luggage rooms while keeping in mind the seasonal changes –

HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji and team went to My Home Hub Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi office for monthly meeting. In the meeting, the architect Sriman Anand Sai, temple architect Sriman Prasad and team lead Sriman Ramesh Mantha reviewed and discussed about Ramanuja drawings and Statue of Equality plans. Dr.Rameshwar reviewed the status and came up with an action plan.

Anand Sai ji, Prasad ji will be visiting a few divya desams to construct the 108 temples around the Statue of Equality. Anand Sai ji will be visiting different countries to study the huge constructions in those places. Meeting concluded with HH mangalasasanams to all.

Sriman Surendra, visualy challenged but far sighted teacher of Netra vidyalaya pledged one year  salary on the occasion of Sri Ramanuja Jayanthi.

Sriman Dittakavi Bhat of Vedic Soft donated  Rs. 1 Crore immediately after hearing about the project. He spoke to the gathering on Sri  Ramanuja Jayanthi and inspired everyone to be part of this magnificent cause. Sriman Sandugula Raghavacharya (Rugvedic Salakshana Ghanapaati) pledged Rs.10 Lakhs and gave an initial amount on Guru Poornima.

Kumari N.Ch. Dharani from 9th grade,  her brother N.Ch. Raghunandan 6th grade, children of Smn. Varadacharyulu and Smt. Vishnu Priya from Kodada, Nalgonda Dist. donated Rs. 10,622 on July 23rd,2014  for Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi from their pocket money. HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji offered mangalasasanams to these wonderful kids. They are  a huge inspiration to all the children. Let’s all give them a big applause for their great contribution to Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi. These children has donated Rs.8,000 in 2013 and Rs. 6,000 in 2012 for Nethra Vidyalaya(Blind School).
