Soft lilting music, colorful lights, sparkling waters, serene atmosphere, sweet smelling fragrances, magnificent architecture  captivate our senses. What if all these are bundled together in one place? Well, Statue of Equality project is going to be that exotic place which will enchant our senses in a way that will be unparalleled. Dynamic Musical Fountain, a real treat to our senses and manas,  is coming up where Bhagavad Ramanuja will be offered abhishekam with cool waters amid melodious music and mesmerizing water fountains. Work on the dynamic Musical Fountain has started. Casting of lions and lotus petals is complete. This week casting of  lions, lotus petals and copper structure around it will be started. Also, the technicians are working on fabrication of the dynamic muscial fountain.

Statue of Equality Project – Tridandam Model Making in Progress

We are sure you are all eager to hear about the progress of the making of the Statue of Equality. In Bharath, the stage – Bhadravedi is being readied for the appearance of Bhagavad Ramanujacharya for Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi celebrations. Elephants are mounting the Bhadravedi and are taking their positions to welcome Acharya Bhagavad Ramanuja. Last week, third level copper(2.5-2.8m) was fixed on Bhadravedi. Five elephants have been installed at the erection site assembling the fourth level of lotus petals in the yard.

Meanwhile, Sthapathi Sriman Prasad ji visited China to inspect the work on Bhagavad Ramanujacharya vigraham. He gave some feedback and made a few minor corrections to the model of the vigrahams.  11th level casting is done. Grinding of the Dharma wheel, sole of the elephants and conch are completed. Work on Tridandam and the flag of the Tridandandam can be seen in the photos in the link below.

 Sahasrabdi Celebrations planning is on. People are registering for the Samatha Yathra, a 1000 cars rally which will be held on April 30th.

JET Sydney has been conducting Pada Yatra in Sydney since 14+ years. This was organized by Smt.Saiji & Sri Muraliji, This year the walk has been named formally as EQUALITY WALK with the special mangalasasanams of Sri HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji during His recent visit to Sydney, thus providing a vision to the community.

Sriman Navaneethji, Kesavji, Krishnamurthiji & Ram Velji along with other team members have represented JET Australia Foundation. The walk spread awareness about the greatness of Bagavad Ramanujacharya Swami.
World will witness the teachings of Sri Ramanujacharya who spread the great message of equality across whole Bharath by performing pada yatra from Kashmir to almost the tip of Southern India. JET Australia Foundation recognizes this service as great spread of Humanity in Sydney. Special thanks to Saiji, Muraliji, Raviji & team for creating an awareness and Opportunity to community.

May 1st, 1001th Birthday of Sri Ramanujacharya is fast approaching. Many of us are waiting for the BIG day when Statue of Equality will be inaugurated and dedicated to the world. We are happy to let all the supporters know that the work on the ground is going on in full swing. As of today, structural erection upto 17.5 mts high is in progress.Assembly of 32 elephants have been completed. The circular sheet around the Bhadravedi foundation has been installed. 6 elephants have been raised so far to the Bhadravedi platform and fixing of 3 elephants on the top has been completed. In the Ground Assembly, work on assembling the Padma Peetam is going on. Soon parts of the Padma Peetam will be lifted and placed on Bhadravedi foundation. Purity tests and wearing test are being carried out as part of Quality Control. Fabrication works are also in progress. Stone work for interior and exterior walls of Bhadravedi is also in progress. The current estimate of project completion is now estimated in the first quarter of 2018.

This year is Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi, the millennium year of Bhagavad Ramanuja. In this auspicious year, HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamijiintended to consecrate Bhagavad Ramanuja in two states. Construction of 216 feet high metal statue of Bhagavad Ramanuja at JIVA Campus, Shamshabad, Hyderabad has already begun.

On April 10th 2017, at 9.15am, HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji laid a foundation stone for constructing 135 feet high Sri Bhagavad Ramanuja Swamy on Vijaya Kiladri in Sitanagaram, Guntur district. Sri Sri Ramachandra Jeeyar Swamiji, Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji and Sri Devanatha Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji also were present on this auspicious occasion. Bapatla M.L.A Smn. Kona Raghupathi, JET Advisory Committee Board Member Smn. E. Rama Rao, Smn. Pola Srinivas, VT Khammam, Smn. Koteswar Rao garu, S.P CID, Guntur and Smn. Currently, at the Statue of equality Project site, parts of Gajaraja elephants, lotus flowers and parts of the statue are being assembled and erected onto the 20 meter pedestal with the assistance of the Chinese technical teams.
A total36 Gajaraja elephants, columns and the lotus flowers parts are being assembled by the 40 member Chinese team.
The various parts of the lotus, elephants and other structures are first being assembled at the assembly yard.
They are then elevated and erected; at the height of 7.5 to 17.5 level around 14 columns have already been erected so far . More such columns are being erected and the progress is underway. The statue erection and structural erection are together progressing in parallel .

On Saturday, the 1st of April, HH Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji visited the project site. HH inspected the assembly yard where currently the parts related to Padmapeetam like statues of Gajaraja elephants, lotuses etc are being assembled. He inspected and inquired about the assembly procedures and discussed details like welding quality, joint quality, inspection procedures etc with the team.

HH Swamiji also visited the project site where the stone work is being conducted. He inquired on the well being of the team members and also examined the health and safety procedures being followed and implemented. He visited the site where the statue parts of the are being assembled. HH Swamiji met and interacted with the Chinese Project Manager and inquired about the health & safety precaution procedures required during welding, grinding and polishing etc. and discussed the progress details of the project.

HH Chinna jeeyar Swamiji visited the various project sites, spending close to two and a half hours (from around 4pm to 6:30pm)  interacting with the all various team members inquiring on their well being and offering His Mangalasanams.

Report from Statue of Equality Site
The Chinese technicians are working on assembling the gajarajas – elephants. According to the Structural Engineer, erection of the elephants on the circular structure will start in 2 days. Stone work by the Rajastani workers for the inner structure is also progressing well as per the plan. HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji will be in JIVA next week and will be meeting with the construction engineers to discuss about the future milestones. Programs are also being planned to celebrate the 1000th year birth anniversary of Ramanujacharya which is on May 1st.

Statue of Equality – Statue Assembly Begins in JIVA, Samshabad

Assembly of ‘Statue of Equality‘ statue began in JIVA, Shamshabad. 10 engineers from Aerosun Engineering, China came to the site on March 6th and started working on assembling of gajarajas – elephants. All the tools required for assembly such as plasma cutting machines,welding machines, cutting sets etc have been provided to the techinicians. Nearby guesthouse has been arranged for their stay. So far ears, tusks, trunk of 10 elephants have been readied for welding. Also, assembling of Padmapeetam has started. With regards to statue structural erection work,7.5 meter structure for gajarajas and 3 tier lotus structure will be completed in 3 days. In the next 10 days, elephants will be moved to the erected structure. Planning for building the 3 tier Lotus structure will also be completed.

The Shilpi Stone work in and around Bhadravedi site has begun. Bansipahadpur Pink Stone is being used to construct the masonry around the Bhadravedi site. The stone is being brought all the way from Bansipahadpur, Rajasthan. The first truck load of the pink stone has already been delivered today. The work has begun and is currently underway. 250 stone sculptures will be working on carving the pink stone. In a weeks time, the Shilpi stone masons will begin the cladding and assembly work and give us our first sample. Around 600 shilpis from around Rajasthan will be working on this project, using around 4-5 truck loads of stone material. Tonnes of stone has been sanctioned and procured for the purpose of the Sahasrabdi SRS Project.

HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji inspected Statue of Equality construction site accompanied by Mr. Rameshwar Rao. He interacted with site engineers and workers and enquired on progress and developments.

Currently, the team is working on the fabrication and 750 tons of steel has been bought. The structure began with 39 columns and fabrication has begun on 4-5 levels. Sand blasting, painting of primer, middle coat and final coat 39 colour scheme were done and second level has around 22 columns, above that 15 meters-22 meters installation is underway. The statue totals to 216 feet in height. Installation and erection of 22 columns has been completed and the remaining 19 columns will be completed around 15th February.

Heavy machinery has been employed to speed up the construction. Dedicated staff have been working round the clock. Swamiji’s visit to the site recharged the entire unit with multi-fold enthusiasm to welcome the upcoming moments of glory.
