Mr. Kelvin, Our lighting consultant presented an updated concept incorporating all the suggestion from Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji during the first meeting. The updated concept was approved by the team Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami, Ramesh Mantha ji, and Prasad Sthapathy ji.

It is Bhagavad Ramanuja who enriched the society thousand years ago with the concept of Equality building it on fundamental connection that exists amongst each other as one family in the eyes of the Supreme power, the single source of all existence! We are all aware of the first meeting of Ramoji Film City, CEO – Sriman Rajeev ji with Sri Swamiji on the 11th to discuss the attractions in Bhadra Vedi. A team from Pune headed by Sriman Rajeev ji presented a concept and the related themes. HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamij visited Statue of Equality site today to watch the progress of the project in person. His radiating walk, amazing intellect and unparalleled warmth inspired all the team at multi-fold. HH looked through the Conch and Discus that are being worked on at the site. These two elements signify the strength of that Supreme power. They are a mark of identity in the Visishta advaitha philosophy propounded by Bhagavad Ramanuja carried from the acharyas of the lineage.

We are thrilled to reach this stage in the construction and invite you all to watch the site in person and become part of it.

Sriman Prasad Sthapathy, has recently visited our workshop to guide and inspect the work done by hundreds of dedicated artisans. We are happy to share the progress on sculpture work.

  • Jali work (intricate carved mesh design) of Ground floor is close to completion
  • Jali work of the steps of Bhadravedi is in progress
  • 1000 Pillars for the railing are ready out of 1250 that are required
  • Prototypes are being designed and are inspected for correctness
  • 30 trucks of material is ready to be dispatched while about 20 more trucks of material is getting ready
  • Koshta toranams (the window headers) are being carved as per the prototypes given
  • Sample piece of Karna kutam is inspected and minor changes were suggested
  • 10 CNC machines are working round the clock to support the artisans

This will soon become the centre for knowledge across the world and will satisfy the thirst for higher wisdom, fundamental truths that run our existence, a mirror that can show internal beauty and more!

11th Evening marks a new and cool phase into the making of ‘Statue of Equality‘. Be it in the past, present or future – Bhagavad Ramanuja Acharya’s philosophy on Equality stands as the most suitable and highly needed for the betterment of all of us.

How great it is to imagine shows that can entertain as well as enlighten us in this aspect and bring togetherness and harmony in society !?

With that goal in mind, Sri HH Chinna Jeeyar Swami met Ramoji Film City CEO, Sriman Rajeev ji to discuss what is required to get such shows into the project arena. Sriman Sanjeev ji (from Pune), Sriman Ramesh Mantha garu and Sriman Prasad Sthapathy also took part with great enthusiasm.

We are very happy to share with all our readers that the inner support structure of the head part of Ramanuja Acharya is complete. A special low bed trailer is being used to bring the same to the site. The effort that was put in transportation of this is huge. A lac and a half was spent on this to ensure right mode of transport is used to bring it onto the site. Fabrication of arms has started and aimed to be completed soon.

On this note, let’s take a minute to think about the core strength of this project. Sri HH Chinna Jeeyar Swami is an inspiration, an visionary, and an exemplary and divine personality. His ways of working with devotees is amazing. One who comes to seek his advise gets captivated by his lotus-petal like eyes that are just two icons of love and warmth. One who comes to share their sorrow with Swamiji becomes motivated as they watch him work day-in and day-out solely for the benefit of everyone. One who comes to seek his blessings for any important event in their life goes home with so much divine strength that comes from HIS heart-felt and pure wishes. One who comes to disagree with him on an issue just turns around and begins to support him and nod his head as HH discusses the reasons with valid and highly unarguable premise.

One who knows him can go on and on in this way….

Such great acharya, our beloved HH chinnajeeyar swamiji is in the lineage of Bhagavad Ramanuja Acharya. We are so glad to share these progress news with you all about this project on Bhagavad Ramanuja Acharya. Hope you share these because this statue and this project belongs to all of us. This statue will stand as a symbol of the great virtues that are the building blocks of our livelihood. We are connected to the philosophy promoted by Bhagavad Ramanuja Acharya. To raise above caste, creed, and all other differences and bring all of us together as children of the creator and saviour, God is a very true and necessary element to keep the world in harmony.

While the rain drops hurry up to experience the site of ‘Statue of Equality’, we merrily present to you the current state of the project!

  • 11 vehicles of finished products ready to be fixed as part of the statue
  • Sheet metal production of Flag pole is complete, Steel structure production is in progress
  • 3 vehicles of finished products ready to be fixed as part of the Dynamic Fountain
  • Fabricating of action mechanism is in progress
  • 10 copper plates of second level of body and 6 copper plates of foot fixed at site
  • Finished full welding of lotus petals of fifth level, sixth level welding of lotus petals is in progress
  • 230 beams are erected out of a total of 240 beams in the Bhadhravedi area
  • 7th consignment shipped on the 27th June, next shipment by 05th July!

Statue Of Equality Site

Today, we would like to share a few more exciting updates on the progress of the Statue of Equality and Dynamic Fountain.

  • Casting of the copper plates for the Statue of Equality is complete.
  • Grinding of the copper plates is in progress and expected to be completed by 30th June’2017
  • The seventh consignment is expected to arrive by ship on the 27th of June
  • 80% of the casting of copper plates for the Dynamic Fountain is complete.
  • The full welding of the lotus petals of fourth level is complete.
  • The full welding of the 8 big and 8 small lotus petals of fifth level is complete.
  • The fitting of elephants and the wall behind the elephants is complete.

Mr. Kelvin, Our lighting design consultant visited the site to get started on the task to provide initial design for lighting. He was awe-stricken by the magnanimity of the work at the site. He was quite happy and thrilled to be part of this wonderful project. Our primary architect, Sriman Prasad garu answered all his queries. Ground floor ornamentation and ground floor lighting was discussed. He will be providing first draft of lighting design within a week or two..!!
