Vijayawada & Guntur – WALK FOR EQUALITY

On the eve of Bhagavad Ramanuja Millennium Celebrations, HH Swamiji conducted a WALK FOR EQUALITY around Vijaya Keeladri in Sitanagaram on the auspicious evening of 29.4.2017. HH Sri Ramachandra Jeeyar Swamiji, HH Ashtakshari Jeeyar Swamiji, HH Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and HH Devanatha Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji participated in the walk around the hill. Vemuru M.P Smn. Nakka Anand Babu, B.C Welfare Minister and S.I.T.A Director Smn. Vijaya Raghavacharyulu also participated in this procession and received mangalasasanams of HH Swamiji.  HH Swamiji offered special mangalasasanams to Smn. Satry Sri Hari, for arranging the band, folk dancers, two beautiful elephant statues on wheels and kolatam groups. The whole parade was went well with the help of Police dept. Swamiji offered hearty mangalasasanams to all the police department.

Vizianagaram – WALK FOR EQUALITY

In Vizianagaram, WALK FOR EQUALITY was flagged off by Central Home Minister Smn. Ashoka Gajapathi Raju garu along with his family. MLA, MLC, doctors and members from different professions too participated in the walk. Free food distribution, songs highlighting the contributions of Ramanujacharya to society and many other activities concluded the day’s program.

 

Rajamahendry – WALK FOR EQUALITY

In Rajamahendry, the program commemmorating the Millineium Celebrations of Sri Ramanujacharya were held for 10 days. On 29th April, WALK FOR EQUALITY was organized from Srirangadhamam via Main bazaar, Ramamayam, Githabhavanam and back to Srirangadhamam under the guidance of Sri Raghunath bhattar. Ramanujacharya deities from Srirangadhamam, Githabhavan and Govindakshetram were taken in a procession. The program was organised by Er Ramanujam and Srimannarayana Sathiraju garu. Dr.Rajaram ,Dr.Ramareddy participated in the program. Glories of Ramanujacharya were sung throughout the program by Padmavathiramanujam and Hare Srinivasa teams. Band and traditional drums – sannayimelam was arranged. Children dressed like Ramanujacharya participated in the rally. Heavy rain did not deter the determination of the participants. Nearly 500 people participated in the rally. It was a great experience.

Prajna Students did a WALK FOR EQUALITY on 30th April under the guidance of Sriman Sitharamacharyulu. They sang Bhaja Yathirajam which elucidates the greatness of Ramanujacharya. After the EQUALITY WALK, certificates were given o the participants. Er Ramanujam, Padmavathiramanujam, Mannaru varna sathiraju garu participated. Pavan and Bhargav extended their valuable services.

VT Siricilla – WALK FOR EQUALITY

VT-Siricilla celebrated Bhagavad Ramanuja Sahasrabdi Jayanthi from 27.04.17 to 01.05.17 in 5 different locations. On 1st, a colorful procession was led through the streets of the volunteers singing bhajans and playing band.

VT Karimnagar – CELEBRATING EQUALITY

On 01-05-2017, Karimnagar Vikasatarangini celebrated Sri Ramanujacharya’s 1000th Jayanthi at Vedabhavan where everyone gathered and shared their views on how to follow the footsteps laid down by Ramanujacharya. They vowed to protect Ramanujacharya’s school of thought and preserve His learnings for the next generations to come.

VT Kakinada – WALK FOR EQUALITY

In Kakinada too a WALK FOR EQUALITY was conducted. Women did kolatam while others sang the glory of Ramanuja leading the parade around the streets of Venugopal Swamy temple.

VT Narsapur – WALK FOR EQUALITY

A walk promoting the spirit of Equality – WALK FOR EQUALITY  was conducted around Emberumanar Temple chanting the glory of Ramanuja in Tamil verses – Ramanuja Nutrandadi in Narsapur.

Ramanuja‘s 1000 years  birthday is being celebrated grandly across the world.  On this occasion, Indian Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi released a Rs. 25 commemorative stamp in New Delhi today afternoon. On invitation from the Prime Minister Office, HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji went to New Delhi to attend the event. Speaking on this occasion, Prime Minister  Narendra Modi spoke excellently quoting the works of Dr. Ambedkar, Swamy Vivekananda and how thousand years old Sri Ramanujacharya‘s teachings  and actions influenced them.  He said Sri Ramanujacharya Swamy saw manifestation of God in all beings and said all are equally qualified to receive the grace of God. He cited how several social movements and schools of thought were inspired by the great Sri Ramanujacharya. He concluded the speech encouraging everyone to follow Sri Ramanujacharya‘s teachings.

On Sunday 30-04-2017 our Hon’ble Prime Minister Modiji addressed the people of our Nation in his monthly radio programme. In this months edition, Modiji spoke about the importance and need to remember and recollect our culture, traditions and history of our great nation. This would keep us energised and inspire each of us. He spoke about 2017 marking Sant Ramanujacharya‘s 1000th Birth Anniversary. Modiji reminded the nation that over the period of time, we have restricted ourselves to centuries just like other countries but have forgotten that Bharath is such an ancient country, that we get a chance to celebrate in millenniums.

“Imagine a society 1000 years ago, what would have been the thinking? Even today, breaking the shackles of social rigidity is so tough. 1000 years ago it must have been even tougher. Very few people might be aware that Sant Ramanujacharya fought against social inequality, untouchability and caste system. He fought a Great War against the caste inequality, embraced the so called “untouchables” and relentlessly fought for them and successfully won them their rights to enter the temples. We are indeed very lucky that to eradicate the social evils, great men took birth in all generations. We should take inspiration from Sant Ramanujacharya for social equality and unity. The government of Bharath will be releasing a stamp on 1st May in honour and memory of Sant Ramanujacharya. I bow before Sant Ramanujacharyaji to pay my respects and tributes to Him.”- PM Modiji

Statue Of Equality Site

Tirelessly and Passionately, Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami has been spreading words of wisdom and loads of love to every single being that he has come across for decades together. There is never a moment that Swami does not think or act upon Sri Ramanuja acharya’s teachings and practices.

Today, Ramoji Film City CEO Mr.Rajeev Jalnapurkar Garu has offered his service by having a glace at the planned focus lights in the Statue of Equality site. Rajeev Garu met Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami during a recent Homeopathy Medicine Book Release event at Ramoji Film City. He was happy to visit Sahasrabdi site and take part in the work. He brought along with him Jacob, and Engineer at Ramoji Film City to inspect the current setup.

Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami and rest of the team together looked through the progress of the construction and the setting up of elephants around the Bhadravedi structure.

Statue of Equality Project – Tridandam Model Making in Progress

We are sure you are all eager to hear about the progress of the making of the Statue of Equality. In Bharath, the stage – Bhadravedi is being readied for the appearance of Bhagavad Ramanujacharya for Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi celebrations. Elephants are mounting the Bhadravedi and are taking their positions to welcome Acharya Bhagavad Ramanuja. Last week, third level copper(2.5-2.8m) was fixed on Bhadravedi. Five elephants have been installed at the erection site assembling the fourth level of lotus petals in the yard.

Meanwhile, Sthapathi Sriman Prasad ji visited China to inspect the work on Bhagavad Ramanujacharya vigraham. He gave some feedback and made a few minor corrections to the model of the vigrahams.  11th level casting is done. Grinding of the Dharma wheel, sole of the elephants and conch are completed. Work on Tridandam and the flag of the Tridandandam can be seen in the photos in the link below.

 Sahasrabdi Celebrations planning is on. People are registering for the Samatha Yathra, a 1000 cars rally which will be held on April 30th.

Assembly of ‘Statue of Equality‘ statue began in JIVA, Shamshabad. 10 engineers from Aerosun Engineering, China came to the site on March 6th and started working on assembling of gajarajas – elephants. All the tools required for assembly such as plasma cutting machines,welding machines, cutting sets etc have been provided to the techinicians. Nearby guesthouse has been arranged for their stay. So far ears, tusks, trunk of 10 elephants have been readied for welding. Also, assembling of Padmapeetam has started. With regards to statue structural erection work,7.5 meter structure for gajarajas and 3 tier lotus structure will be completed in 3 days. In the next 10 days, elephants will be moved to the erected structure. Planning for building the 3 tier Lotus structure will also be completed.

The 1:1 model construction of Bhagavad Ramanujacharya is 90% complete. We will be finishing the 1:1 model manufacturing of statue before Sep,2016. Casting of  Lotus and Elephants is complete. Body part casting is in progress.
